The Book of 1st Thessalonians

The Reason for the Rapture
Paul reminds the Thessalonians of what comes after the resurrection of Church-age believers. Since believers no longer belong to the realm of darkness, and since the Lord Jesus Christ already took God's wrath on our behalf, believers are not destined to experience the Day of the Lord. An understanding of this doctrine should result in greater holiness of life as well as additional encouragement in the lives of believers (1 Thessalonians 5:1-11).
