EXE files are self-extracting archives produced by the WINZIP file archival tool which packages one or more files into a single smaller file suitable for downloading.

Unlike ZIP files which require the user to install the WINZIP program on their machine, self-extracting archives can be downloaded and used without WINZIP. However, EXE files can only be used with Microsoft Windows (95, 98, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, etc.). Simply download the file and run it on your computer and it will automatically uncompress the files contained within the self-extracting archive and place them in the correct location on your computer.
